RankMath SEO
Overview
This section documents the default Rank Math SEO configuration used in MAC Starter.
The goal is to keep the setup predictable:
- enable the modules that are actually used in production
- keep indexing and sitemap behavior explicit
- keep schema defaults aligned with the site structure
- restrict advanced permissions to administrators only
Covered Areas
Default Approach
- Use the advanced setup instead of the simplified setup wizard path.
- Enable only the Rank Math modules that are required for the project.
- Keep placeholder values such as
<my_site_name>and<my_site_url>project-specific until the site is being configured. - Leave optional social, analytics, and local-business fields empty unless the project actually needs them.
- Keep operational modules such as
404 Monitor,Analytics,Instant Indexing,LLMS Txt,Local SEO,Redirections, andSEO Analyzerenabled only after launch where noted in Dashboard. - Keep all Role Manager permissions set to
falsefor non-administrator roles, as documented in Role Manager.
Notes
- This doc tree is for the MAC Starter baseline, not for every possible Rank Math feature.
- If a project needs WooCommerce, News Sitemap, Video Sitemap, or other optional modules, document that variance in the project-specific docs instead of silently changing the starter defaults.
- When placeholders are replaced for a real site, keep the setting labels and structure intact so the docs still mirror the plugin UI cleanly.
